Each year, the Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited offers its Beginning Fly Tying course to the public. The five week course is held one evening a week and tools and materials are provided. This year, students learned to tie nine flies that are popular in local tailwaters and in the mountains. Cost of the class is $100 and proceeds go towards the Clinch River Chapter's conservation projects. This popular course fills up fast and is led by Buzz Buffington with lots of help from other volunteer chapter members listed below. Much thanks for tying materials that were donated by Little River Outfitters in Townsend, Tennessee.
