Clinch River Chapter Trout Unlimited
Annual Fly Tying Class

January/February 2005

It has become "THE" place to be each January and February.  We are talking about the annual Fly Tying Class that is open to the public and led by chapter member Buzz Buffington with a lot of help from his chapter members.  The five weekly classes are held from 7 to 9pm at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Norris. Tools and materials are provided.  Students learn a series of 9 flies used in local tailwaters and the mountains. The class teaches different patterns and tying techniques. Cost of the class is $75 and proceeds go toward the Clinch River Chapter's conservation efforts.  Each year the class has gotten larger with a "Wait" list of students chomping at the bit to get a seat.
