Fish Free-Miller Island Day

On June 8, 2002 the chapter held our first ever fish free day. This was in conjunction with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources free fishing weekend. Other partners in this event where the Tennessee Valley Authority and the Boy Scouts if America. All total we helped over 152 people most of which where children go fishing.  Bait and spin fishing was taught as well as fly-fishing to those who wanted to learn how. All in all everyone had a ball. TVA also unveiled its plans for the development of Miller's Island. For other photo's check out the Coal Creek Watershed Foundation web page of the same event. Please feel free to explore that site as well to see all the exciting events that are being done in that part
of the Clinch River watershed.
